TAKE ACTION: Daily Kos Blog

Daily Kos (www.dailykos.com) is a liberal blog that gets millions of hits per day. In honor of the "Don't Tag Texas" rally, Faith Chatham is writing a five-part diary series that spotlight the NAIS, the NAFTA Superhighway, and related topics. These journals have the potential to bring the NAIS issue to the attention of millions of people! But it will only happen if the journals get RECOMMENDS immediately after they are posted, or they will scroll off the list too rapidly to get much readership.

Journals will be posted every day this week through Sunday between 1 and 3 p.m. daily. If you don't see the daily journal on the scroll bar, you can select SORT BY TAG, enter NAIS in the search field, and it will bring up the journal.

Because of the large number of participants on Daily Kos, it takes a lot of folks jumping in immediately after a journal is posted to recommend and comment for it to stay in a prominent position on the scroll bar. Even after it scrolls off, it can be used to raise the issue by people forwarding links to the journals. There is only a limited amount of time in which people can recommend journals or comments. However, you can post comments for a longer period of time.

From Faith: "Anti animal id folks are urged to jump in on the anti-TTC journals and discuss your issues in each and every journal. If you were present in Austin Friday, even if the main content of the journal is more toll road than animal id, please jump in and tell your story, tell why you went to Austin (or wish you could have been there). Talk about how the electronic animal id program is invasive, inflationary, etc."

Got to www.dailykos.com and sign up for an account (it's free). All you do is choose a user name and password. This takes up to 24 hours.

Second, DailyKos will e-mail an "activation" e-mail to the e-mail address you specify. Reply to that e-mail and you'll be ready to go.

Third, CLICK on the link below:

This will take you directly to today's (3/8) posting.

On the right-hand sidebar, scroll down to where you see "RECOMMEND." Click that. The more times the post is recommended, the longer it'll stay active.

Fourth, read through Faith's "diary." When you get to the end, you can do one of two things:

Once you've expanded all the comments, you can reply to a specific comment. You can also "recommend" other's comments.
